Information and help desk

The central Information and help desk can be found on Level 3, while a tourist information desks on Level 4 in arrivals and departures.


Facilities

Facilities include Banks, a post office, Bureaux de Change, a 24 hour internet point, and wireless LAN.

There are a variety of different restaurants (fast food, pub food as well as international and local cuisine), bars and cafés along with duty free shopping in the departures area. A 24 hour medical centre, a dentist, dry cleaning services, laundry facilities and children’s play area can also be found in the terminals.

There is a left luggage office in the service centre in the MAC forum. Porters can be hired and are recognised by their green uniform. Larger luggage is checked in on level 3 and 4.

Disabled facilities

Passengers with special needs are advised to contact their airline prior to travelling or contact the airport assistance service on level 3, area E. TDD telephones for hearing-impaired passengers are available in the Medical Centre. Lufthansa has a special check-in desk for disabled travellers. Wheelchairs can be obtained from the information desks in departures and wheelchair accessible toilets and lifts are found throughout the airport. Terminal 2 has systems for the visually impaired or blind passengers.


Business facilities

The Munich Airport Centre, in which there is the MAC Forum, has facilities to host presentations and events, while providing media and communications technology and catering facilities. The MAC business service, Municon, has more than 30 conference rooms (for up to 120 persons), internet, projectors (and audiovisual equipment), whiteboards, as well as other facilities and security personnel.

There are various airline lounges and two airport run lounges, which have telephone, fax, internet connections, magazines, newspapers and televisions

Car parking

Short term car parking can be found in car parks P1, P2, P3, P4, P9 and P20, while long term parking is located in car parks P6, P7 (which has the cheapest rates) and P8.
All offer disabled parking spaces and direct access to the airport.

Car park P41 (at Nordallee) has weekly rates and provides a shuttle bus to the airport every 20 minutes from 03:00-01:00.

Munich Cheap flights

Easyjet, Lufthansa and KLM offer cheaper flights to Munich but it is always best to shop around for the best value.

Munich Airport Transport

Commuter trains S1 (04:35-00:15h Monday to Friday, 05:35-00:15h Saturday and Sunday) and S8 (04:05-01:05 daily) leave every 10-20 minutes, with journey time around 40 minutes. They go to various Munich stations such as Munich Hauptbahnhof and Ostbahnhof, where you can get connections to other German cities and European destinations.

There are different bus services such as Autobus Oberbayern which provides a Lufthansa Airport Bus service going to Munich Hauptbahnhof (06:17-21:45h daily every 20 minutes, journey time around 45 minutes) and many regional destinations.

A bus service also runs during exhibitions in the Munchen Messe (08:00-18:00h every 30 minutes).
